Hsuan (Adrian) Tsao, M.A.
Founding Clinician
Hsuan Tsao is a licensed psychodynamic psychotherapist with a specialized focus in depression, anxiety and relational issues. Hsuan began his clinical work and Psychoanalytic training at Boston University from 2005 to 2012.
In 2008 Hsuan was offered a clinical position serving the underprivileged community in the greater Boston area by the Community Services Institute in West Roxbury. After finishing his M.A. in psychoanalysis and part of Psya.D. program, Hsuan returned to Taipei for more clinical practice in his home country.
With a solid foundation in Psychoanalytic training, Hsuan was able to make the challenging transition from working in a western culture to eastern. This successful transition also provided the experience and understanding of individuals with all sorts of unique backgrounds by way of a Psychoanalytic analysis approach.
This approach makes Hsuan appreciate the uniqueness of the person who looks to feel understood before solving any problem he/she has in mind. The unconscious and relational focused approach also aims to help individuals make more helpful decisions in their lives by becoming more aware of their unconsciousness.
In addition to his dedication to clinical work, Hsuan has a passion for promoting the importance of mental health, psychotherapy and ethics in practice both online and in the media.
